Also I guess the name could be pronounced as WILLder but that sounds too much like Wilbur and any name that constantly gets mispronounced and misspelled and misunderstood is a terrible burden to put on a DC.
The parents who consider Wilder want to raise a feral wild child and will go ahead and give him some ridiculous middle name like Trigger or Ransom or Danger and will make sure he grows a mullet by 4. Wilder will run around in plastic Western boots, a Kool Aid stained licensed character t shirt and leggings. “He’s all boy” will be the highest compliment t you can give Wilder.

My DH is now very interested in this name for potential future kids of ours, but I honestly think it sounds a bit like the parents are trying too hard to be “edgy” or “cool”. I don’t mean to offend anyone on here, but what are peoples thoughts? There’s just something about it I don’t like, but it’s hard to explain why.
