Great for them - love when folks who are on their feet all day have shoes with some shock absorption.

Here's a good review of the On Clouds, especially if you have foot issues:

I have worn the "basic" On Clouds for years. The slip in ones with the low profile cushion. I use these primarily when I travel - easy to slip on/off and they are lightweight and dry quickly if wet. I am not a fan of the "bigger" models.

Wow! We found the LMC striver.

Jordans are super popular amongst MS and HS boys. My daughter even had a pair.

No, you didn’t. You found someone who enjoys stirring up stupid people, and thanks to you — they succeeded admirably.

Plenty of kids at our private school still wear them, as well as Nikes with the giant swoosh.

My kid doesn't like huge soles and is having trouble finding new sneakers. Thank goodness we have months until she needs uniform approved ones.

Ortho drs seem to be recommending Hokas for knee and ankle issues. Lost count of the number people who have started wearing them because of that

A lot of the rich sorority girls are wearing them. I’m not suggesting that bama rush = nyc fashion week or something. But they aren’t “out” and they certainly aren’t something just the “elderly” are wearing lol. Y’all say the dumbest things, and the fashion forum is the worst for cluelessness.

I take exercise classes daily with an assortment of college-aged women who all wear Hokas.

For coming and going I mean to say, not for the exercise part.

They’ve been around at least 5 years, and unlike Hokas I have not met anyone who chooses them for function. They are very popular with the middle aged UMC parents at our school, so I group them with the lululemon fanny pack/Amazon winter coat/Vega sneakers, ie fading trends. Personally I tried them 3-4 years ago but did not find them comfortable for running, and I don’t really do athleisure, so I donated

I like OCs for walking/traveling - lightweight and not too bulky. I have hokas too but they are strictly for exercise - I don't wear them for leisure.

My DD, who lives in the UK, tells me that OCs are standard American tourist garb these days.

What’s the current trendy athleisure shoe?

I'm not trendy but definitely UC my whole life. I've never worn anything but Brooks. Anyone into fitness - which is almost the whole UC - is loyal to their brands until the brand does something stupid to diminish quality.

Trendy athletic shoes are for fat people - a true comment that DCUM will flame me for...

I think associating a sneaker brand with class is super cringy and low class.

+1
Some people are super insecure.
