Millions of Americans have served to prevent US military use against American citizens from happening. It would be a horrifying insult to every person that has ever served in the armed forces.
We are talking about martial law here. This isn't "military use against American citizens" that you think it is. This is no different than the military protecting military installations. They are authorized to protect federal property and land. I've served in the military. We protect against enemies, both foreign and domestic. So yes, there may be times were American citizens are enemies. Anyone trying to break in to facilities, damage facilities, impede the government's ability to operate, or put federal employees safety at risk is, in fact, enemy of the government. And yes, this applies to the very tiny number of people on J6 that attempted to enter the building.

Semper Fi, baby. Time to knock some heads and put a stop to this lawlessness. Actions now have consequences due to the new sheriff in town.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:If American citizens are breaking the law and damaging property my tax dollars built and maintain then I say to the Marines, “Kick their stinking lawless brains out.”Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:They would go be deployed to protect federal facilities. Congrats, you are a POS. You probably already knew that.

“The California Governor is right that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was needlessly provocative in tweeting that Marines at Camp Pendleton are on alert to intervene if asked. The country doesn’t want the military patrolling American streets except in the worst circumstances. But Mr. Trump could invoke the Insurrection Act to deploy the military, as George H.W. Bush did to quell the 1992 L.A. riots, and our guess is that the President and Mr. Miller are looking for the chance.”
Was it “needlessly proactive” when Tim Walz called up “National Guard stormtroopers” against the “mostly peaceful” blm rioters?

The Democratic Party are showing their true colors with their support (openly or tacitly) of these extremely violent and destructive riots.
The most ironic aspect is the democrats are directing their violence at innocent government workers.
