+1 or let you go into one store.
I don't get the people dumping on OP (though her tone was a little harsh). Who wants other people to control their behavior to this level while on vacation? I can't imagine a friend getting huffy at me if I wanted to browse in a shop or buy them a drink. That would sour the trip for sure.
OP comes across as rude, I can only imagine what she is like in person.
Op sounds perfectly normal. Her friends are weirdos.

Now I know these women don’t like to shop and are “frugal”.
This is my first time to the Cape and it’s awful.
I thought we would go to the beach, maybe shop and go out to eat at seafood places.
We’ve gone to the beach but only the ones my friend has a pass too. We walked through a downtown and by stores and when I wanted to go in was told “oh god must you shop?”
I offered to buy a round of drinks at a restaurant and was told “oh no we can eat and drink at my house”
And the house is dank, dirty, looks like a camp.
Awful experience
You need to buy passes to go to the beach? Weird.
