Ours is OUT. The repair guy is here, but is non-commital. DH is from Louisiana and is fine. I am melting because I have dysautonomia. So I’m preparing to go to DD’s until my home is 72 again.

I barely tolerate 75 outdoors. Summer is miserable around here before factoring in humidity. You house must be a swamp unless you run a dehumidifier which probably makes up for the A/C Savings a bit.

Some people spend tons of money on the elec bill apparently. Overhead someone saying they kept their place at 70F and their electric bill was around $500 in the summer!


We set ours to between 71 and 73 and also have an electric car, and our electric bill is about $75 or $100 during the summer. Solar panels FTW.
