Go read the letters yourself. The specific instances of civil rights violations are described. If Harvard and Columbia think they are being falsely accused, they should defend themselves in court. But I don't know how they think they can get away with race-based admissions standards, and sending an email (written evidence, omg) to Jewish students that they won't be able to protect them from hate crimes on campus. You can't get away with this behavior in America.

They are suing the groups directly. It's separate but related.

There were campus protests everywhere but the stuff happening at Columbia was next level. The DoE is arguing that Columbia should lose its accreditation bc it allowed these groups to operate and failed to protect Jewish students. I posted a link to the DoE press release up thread.

I strongly suspect these groups are a propaganda front and being funded by Hamas which are indirectly funded by Qatar which is in turn, indirectly funded by Netanyahu. These "free Palestine" groups can then generate antisemitism needed to destroy speech against Israel.

Netanyahu is once again demonstrating how brilliant of a tactician he is. He even just boldly proclaimed that saying “Free Palestine” is the “modern equivalent to ‘Heil Hitler’.”

There is a lawsuit that was recently given the greenlight to go to trial. The plaintiffs are several Jewish and Israeli Columbia students and they are suing some of the free Palestine groups at Columbia claiming that these groups are actually a propaganda front for Hamas propaganda --meaning they actually have direct ties and operational support from Hamas, not just ideological alignment.

Exactly, these universities have enacted what essentially constitutes to on campus apartheid. Jewish students suffer extraordinary racism, hostility violence and have even been blocked from taking certain entrances, buildings, and walkways that pro-Palestinian students have stolen and occupied. But don't worry, the ADL is carefully documenting each and every single Jew hating and antisemitic event and the evil people will soon be brought to justice in criminal courts.

So the Feds does not do accreditation. The DOE recognizes the accreditation of the agencies and states.

This will be very hard to do given that it is not a federal responsibility and the DOE does not exist any more.

The law they violated was protecting the constitution namely freedom of speech and assembly. Pro Palestinian rights is hate speech and anti semitism, and pro terrorism according to the Zionists and their handmaidens in the White House

That’s not a comparison that I, personally, would make, but, in my case it’s because the current administration seems to be extremely selective about when and how and probably why they decide which civil rights laws to vigorously enforce.
Right up there with encouraging white Afrikaaners to come to the US, while deporting POC — without appropriate due process. Whatever the goals are here, civil rights and justice for all don’t seem to be among them.
