If they're impacted it's billed and covered under medical insurance. I just had all of mine removed and it only cost me $275 with Maryland oral surgeons in Rockville.
So at 20/80 split that's about $375 per tooth out of pocket with no insurance. Sounds about right.
DP. My DD recently had hers out, also with Maryland Oral Surgeons, and it was about $500 out of pocket. I think the pre-insurance price was about 500 per tooth plus maybe 700 or so for anesthesia. And, as a side comment, they were all impacted and it was billed under dental insurance not medical although it’s possible they did both and dental had better coverage.
