DD’s were impacted also, but they used my dental instead of medical insurance, not sure why.

Horizontal is not going to be pretty. Recommend anesthesia not just light sedation. Gruesome getting them out, do not want to remember it.

So married to an oral surgeon. It depends on the medical and dental plans they take, in addition to what your insurance plans will do.
There's not a clear cut answer.

Get dental insurance at next open season, then do it.

DP. My DD recently had hers out, also with Maryland Oral Surgeons, and it was about $500 out of pocket. I think the pre-insurance price was about 500 per tooth plus maybe 700 or so for anesthesia. And, as a side comment, they were all impacted and it was billed under dental insurance not medical although it’s possible they did both and dental had better coverage.

+1. I have no idea what their waiting lists are like, but z I’ve heard very good things about the clinics at both schools.

My kid's wisdom teeth are horizontal and unlikely to come in properly, aside from messing up the nice orthodontic work he had done. Out they come


My DD's teeth look normal. So far nothing to be done
