What's the big deal about graduates smoking cigars after commencement?

These kids are 18, they are adults, they can do whatever the F they want.

Public HS are doing the cigar thing now too. Especially at prom.

I’ve seen multiple Facebook post with boys smoking cigars, post graduation.


I have seen both boys and girls with cigars post graduation at several school photos. This is not unique to boys or to Gonzaga. At all.


St. Anselm's does too; a tradition there started by one of the Benedictine monks.

Maybe all of the Jesuit schools do. It's what you wear in the summer months. You don't wear a black tux in the day.
