Dump 1 large can of peaches with syrup into a 9x13 baking pan.
Dump 1 box of yellow cake mix on top of the peaches. Spread loosely so everything is covered but leaving some lumps and unevenness.
Slice 1 stick of unsalted butter thinly, placing the slices over the cake mix, spreading out so tgere is even coverage.
Bake in a 375 oven for approximately 30 minutes, until it is golden and bubbly.
Serve warm with ice cream.
* You can do this with canned pineapples in syrup, or with canned cherry, apple, blueberry, etc pie fillings. If the cans are small, use 2.
5 minutes max prep and it will disappear in minutes.
Canned fruit with syrup plus boxed cake mix? You must hate your family/guests.

Melon and Italian cookies are both two great disappointments in the food world.

I do this with fresh or frozen fruit (no syrup) and it is delicious. It is a family favorite...berries, apples, peaches. Anything.
