This is the first time in a while I've had to buy sugar, but I was absolutely floored by a HUGE cut in size. Of course customers notice a 20% shrink! And of course the prices haven't done anything except go up. Insane!
Since around 2021-2024.
Also smaller since 2021, Campbell's cream soup (10.5 ounces instead of 12 ounces), 2 cup bags of shredded cheese which are now 1.75 cups instead of 2 cups, all chips, cereal, many seasonings, many frozen food items, different pastas...
Many things got smaller over the last 4 years while the prices stayed the same or rose.
Prices of many groceries seem to be going down a tiny bit, fortunately. But I doubt they will go down anywhere near the pre 2021 levels ever again.
