Gorgeous scenery and home, acting was amazing, plot was interesting: actually no cult at all and the women were sort of like mermaids: men blamed them for their own wrecked lives bc they had been too alluring to resist, when really they only had themselves to blame. I really hated Peter, what a weak guy.

Simone came out on top, she'll have a couple of kids and she'll have plenty of money to raise them after Peter gets caught fooling around with the nanny.
Ethan's got a long recovery ahead of him, but should be fine in time for his next fling next summer.
Raymond will be in the doghouse for a while, but his wife will take him back.
Kiki probably has to step down from a billionaire husband to just multi-millionaire. She'll never regain what she had but she'll get by. Her obvious mistake was not bonding with Peter's kids and grandkids since she can't have children of her own, maybe she'll learn that lesson when she latches on to her next guy.
Hopefully Simone learned from Kiki and will insist on a better prenup, but I agree if she has kids it will probably work out for her financially.
Feels like Kiki had a pretty good career in big law for many years so probably has a nice nest egg at least. I find it hard to believe she didn’t do anything to secure at least a little bit of the foundation and more financial security but I guess we just have to accept that plot hole.
Poor Pete. That guy. Misses out on 13 years of relationship with his kids and blames Kiki. Decides the best way forward is just to have another kid or two, but he won’t live long enough to see them much past early adulthood. I like how Kiki said, none of it will make you younger. So true.
She's right, of course, but I still didn't find her sympathetic in the end. Maybe she was a better person when she was in law.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Kind of a tragic ending for Devon, no job, no boyfriend, serious legal trouble, and still taking care of a father who didn't care for his own kids. Yes, Moore knocks it out of the park being so (seemingly) genuinely kind and also out-of-touch crazy rich lady.
I thought it was very telling that Simone didn't identify with the help and all the hate actually detested her. How realistic is that? Would the PA be removed from the rest of the help? Would they all loathe the PA or are they really one of the drudges rolling their eyes at "mistress" too? If I were Simone it makes more sense to try to be a balm or a salve or a buffer to the rest of the help rather than tiny second dictator...

Such interesting layered dynamics. Damned dark ending!
