Not just that. He has what he came for. He dismantled all the agencies that were investigating his companies and he has all of our sensitive data. No more reason for him to put up with the hate when he's already accomplished his mission.

He's still all over US politics. He was back on Capitol Hill today.

Elon Musk paid a visit to Capitol Hill Wednesday afternoon to chat with senators about energy issues, artificial intelligence and enhancing competitiveness against the Chinese government.
The ally of President Donald Trump and head of the Department of Government Efficiency initiative was seen entering a meeting room on the Senate side of the Capitol complex in something of a surprise appearance to most lawmakers and aides: After overseeing a rapid, unprecedented dismantling of the federal bureaucracy in the first months of the new administration, Musk has recently begun to step back in his official White House activities.
But Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-Alaska) said in an interview Musk was there to chat with with them about “AI, issues of energy and other big strategic issues.”

+1. IRS is even worse than normal. They claimed our tax payment was “late” and charged us a bunch of late fees. We have receipts proving otherwise but you can’t actually reach anyone on the phone.
That’s what happens when you starve an agency of budget, fire 20 pct of staff and demoralize the rest of them.
And soon we will have an economic crisis because the bond markets have finally come around to realize that our national debt is unsustainable and less revenue is coming in the future.

He was with Trump on the ME trip. It was just three days ago.
This is what Grok says about that:
Multiple sources confirm Musk was part of the U.S. delegation attending the U.S.-Saudi Investment Forum in Riyadh on May 13, 2025, where he met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and participated in events alongside other business leaders like OpenAI’s Sam Altman and Nvidia’s Jensen Huang. Musk was also present in Qatar, where he joined Trump and Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani at the Lusail Palace. His involvement included promoting his businesses, notably securing Saudi approval for Starlink’s use in aviation and maritime applications and discussing Tesla’s potential in the region.
Sounds like he's getting his money's worth from his investment in Trump.
He's not the only one. The Saudis know that their days of oil riches are numbered.
I do not want AI in their hands.
