Sounds like he wants someone to be the mother of his children and you would rather focus on your career. You cannot have it both ways.

OP, I posted earlier about do you want to enter a 1950s relationship. Most relationships - I think this is studied - become much more traditional once children are in the picture. yes, you cuold be exception but you probably won't be especially if this isn't even what he DOES in practice, he believes it in theory.

The comments in this thread, it seems your BF would align with the more traditional ones. Is that someone you want to be in partnership with?

I'm a lawyer and a mom, my coworkers are mostly lawyers and parents. My kid's doing great at school, I manage my schedule so we spend lots of time together. You can manage to do these things and anyone who claims it's impossible has an agenda.

That's not an answer. What people like you refuse to admit is that this kind of thinking encourages girls to not attend college. I don't care about your response but I'm pointing out that this type of discourse is currently trendy but many won't take it to its natural endpoint.

No. We've to. We just can't accept to have it all. We've to manage it well to have a happy life.

Dads don't have periods, pregnancy, labor, postpartum, breastfeeding, perimenopause, menopause etc etc. Biology limits our lives.

Be ambitious about your career but be more ambitious about having a peaceful and happy family life. Jobs and careers aren't life, just ways to enhance life. That goes for both genders.
