The boat ride down the Thames to Greenwich where you can see Greenwich observatory and learn about Greenwich mean time is pretty fun. My girls loved the Jack the Ripper walking tour where you learn about Victorian London and Fleet Street etc.
you can also hire a Blue Badge guide to give you a themed tour on a topic of interest. We did one on Roman London years ago which was phenomenal.

Tate Modern is fun, regardless of what exhibits it has at the time. And the cafe is GREAT! As is the gift shop.

Btw, the Gunpowder Plot immersive experience is now closed. The London Dungeon is fun. If you want fun. Right across from the London Eye.

Was going to suggest the same, but the main Museum of London building is closed until 2026 as they move into a bigger space.

My favorites are the V&A and the Tate, but our kids enjoyed the Museum of London, which wasn't very busy.

Royal Observatory in Greenwich. Take the boat to Greenwich, (see Cutty Sark if you are interested) climb up the hill to the Observatory, stand on the Prime Meridian and see the small museum there. Then, walk down the hill towards the left and have a pub lunch. Take Tube back to wherever you re staying or want to go next.
