Similiar... I've worn a tee-shirt material jumpsuit with jogger bottoms - cheap from Amazon. Not that hard to pull down to use the restroom, easy enough to remove bra for sleeping if preferred, add a jean jacket, cardigan or scarf or chunky necklace and it looks mildly polished if you don't have time to change before doing stuff (and with kids and hauling stuff, bringing an extra outfit for you seems like a lot of work. a layer or two for a cold airplane, or to cover any stains (ha!). Will look cute with white casual sneakers (because going through the airport without socks is gross!)

I like those pants because you can wash them in a sink if you want to re-wear them.

A comfy sports bra that also works under real clothes with a big comfy sweatshirt.

Add whatever helps you sleep like a scarf or make it a hoodie or add a long sleeved tee underneath.

Socks and the sneakers you intend to wear on the trip.

Bring a simple summer dress in your carry-on, and leave room to stash your sweatshirt and pants. If you want to switch to sandals, do that, but sneakers should still work.

If that's too much work, wear a simple solid color tank and shed the sweatshirt, throw on earrings, and switch your shoes for sandals.

OP I just bought these joggers from Athlete after seeing your post. For my travel it'll be hot here, cold on the plane and mixed weather at destination. I used to use leggings but after last trip, fell in love with compression socks and they didn't fit under leggings. I think these could be great for too chilly, rainy days. Plan to wear with a short sleeve T-shirt and last season's water/wind resistant jacket. Slip on On Cloud waterproof sneakers, they are comfortable to walk in. I suppose I could layer athletic shorts underneath too, in case I get hot.

I have a stretchy pair of straight leg pants with pockets (!) from Athleta that are perfect for flights. I wear them with a soft t-shirt, a cashmere cardigan wrap, and sneakers.

What is the point of this on a long-haul flight? You are in the dark for at least 8 hours--no one will be noticing your jewelry and "stylish sandal."

I bought these pants years ago and love them for travel. They have an elastic waistband, don’t wrinkle, dry in a snap, dirt just brushes right off, and they are easily dressed up for dinners/concerts/parties. I pair with a tee shirt or tank and a cardigan, then swap out my street shoes for slippers once on the plane.

I’ve become adept at using the bathroom without letting the bottom hems touch the ground — the only downside of palazzo pants is needing to be careful about this.

I wear a maxi dress with a cotton cardigan. It's very comfortable, definitely more comfortable than anything with a waist or a crotch.

Flying to Japan on Wednesday this is me too!

Last year I did a matching set from Athleta with a short sleeve shirt underneath with a scarf, socks and a slip on sneaker. Something like this:

And it worked very well. Coming back I did something similar in a softer material but can’t remember what it was.

This year, I’m doing a similar look since it was comfortable and easy to pack and an easy transition once we arrived.
