I remember being told we couldn’t be in public spaces unless we gave into authoritarian control and took a shot that didn’t stop infection or transmission of a disease.

You mean that type of “freedom”?

Nice manipulation of the facts.

But let's pretend that was a sign of authoritarian control. How does your once in a century, dealing with a pandemic, caution compare to sending people to human rights violating maximum security prisons in another country?

Why does everyone forget that Covid and the lock down began under Trump? March 2020 - Jan 2021 Trump was POTUS.

The smartest thing Trump ever did politically was blame Democrats for COVID & the response to it while he was President. He positioned himself as the COVID “rebel” while millions died and were hospitalized.

And they were extended for an unreasonable period thereafter by the Biden Administration - when other countries around the world took far less drastic measures or lifted restrictions far sooner. The evidence is overwhelming that the Biden Administration screwed up.

-1. I mean, FCPS was one of the last school districts to go back in person— in the country. And my DD was back in a HS classroom about 6 weeks after Biden was inaugurated. Wolftrap had a summer season in 2021, although they sold at reduced capacity for early shows as they phased back in. My son was HS class of 2020 and got to start college in person at a SLAC, but it wasn’t normal. Class of 2021 had actual graduations in May 2021 (but many used places like Jiffy Lube Live) and started college in a generally normal environment. I flew with my kids to see their aunt in April 2021 once we were all vaxxed. And we spent a week with their grandparents in June 2021.

Please explain the rationale for “unreasonably long” closures after 1/20/2020.

What restrictions were “unreasonably long”.

You remember wrong.

Funny how there's search archives

It says "I remember being told we couldn’t be in public spaces". No qualifiers. Take your own advice, moron.

Please show where there is evidence that you couldn't be in ANY public spaces. That is a total lie.

Sas that what was claimed?

Any does appear in the previous statement.

Reading is fundamental!

If you are of the mindset that the long march has captured institutions and that the uniparty is listening to donors rather than voters, then they believe an authoritarian strongman as the only way to regain freedoms lost.

That is the appeal of populism.l, be it rightwing or leftwing.

Qanon strikes again.

Go look at the overlap in funding for both parties

See how trumps agenda by and large never makes it through Congress

Then let’s get citizens united overturned and money out of politics all together!

Yes! There really needs to be a 24/7 protest outside the SC for this and for giving the president a free pass on all crimes.

Anonymous wrote:You want to highlight BLM as some kind of righteous movement? The organization itself was run by a couple of huge grifters. Yeah let's get rid of police and just have....riots? The movement didn't accomplish anything useful.

Which is why most Democrats hated BLM. When we heard “defund the police” we thought: something doesn’t sound right. We used logic.

When are Republicans going to do the same? Please, for our country’s future, stop being loyal to this new authoritarianism.

Yes because you're impeding on their desire to protect the undocumented who are the highest priority in our society.

I saw when JD Vance criticized Europe's lack of free speech, 60 Minutes was defending Europe and restrictions on speech.
