Because they never look like what the sender thought they were sending. Sometimes better. Many times not.

And to share the joy of the gift which the sender never sees.

Do you expect the same with chocolates, a candle, perfume, a sweater?

All of those things you can see when you order them.

That's certainly in the ugly Christmas sweater category.

This is why I send a pic. The person obviously is a flowers person. I am not. I want to share.

I appreciate others sending me a pic from the reasons already given.

Flowers are a unique category. I think that's helpful that the person sent a photo - so you can see if the florist delivered the item that you picked off the website & paid for.

It's a good idea. I was charged with ordering flowers fir a coworker, and apparently the florist sucked and the flowers sucked. It would have been nice to know that before I got lectured by my boss for not knowing a good florist in South Carolina.

Do you think chocolates, candles, perfumes, and sweaters start to brown around the edges and die if delivered a few days past their prime? How odd.

To know they got delivered, and were in good shape.

To show that they arrived in beautiful condition and sometimes to show you it looked nothing like what the photo on the website promised.

You can't figure this out on your own?

Have you ever sent flowers before? The process is totally different than those other items.

It isn't weird just because you don't do it. I think it is nice to check if the flowers you ordered are the ones they sent.
