The authoritarian slant of the current administration is digging deeper and deeper. Clear intention to infringe on freedom of speech.
The DC AG is investigating 3 medical journals over whether they are biased in the scientific articles they review and publish. Sent a letter of questions requiring a response by May 2nd.
DP to add, there should be plenty for him to deal with in DC to help DC residents which should be his focus. Why is he wasting his time and our tax payer dollars on this?
The DC AG doesn't prosecute street crimes the way other AGs do. So this is totally with the purview of the office that he was elected to fill.

This is not the DC Attorney General. This is the US Attorney General for the District of Columbia. The two positions are not the same and have different authority. It is akin to the NY AG is different for the USAG for NY. Two different positions with different authorities and responsibilities.
It is not the US Attorney General for DC either. There is such office. It is the US Attorney for the District of Columbia.

I'm a scientist who publishes. This is likely another DEI probe- journals are often asking authors to address how they have handled items such as lack of racial diversity of their samples and other DEI considerations. These are instructions to authors that are publicly displayed on the websites.
To what end though? Bullying, intimidation, silence?
This is the letter that was sent by DOJ.
