I think this illustrates the problem with the labels liberal and conservative.

This. OP needs to clarify what they mean by conservative to get useful feedback. People are making are making their own assumptions.

People are posting this to insult OP but I am going to comment, if it helps anyone else.

My son leans conservative and we have been going on tours of trade colleges and programs. He has the grades to go to a rigorous college but wants to go into trades because this poster is correct. More people are needed in trades and he will make money. He enjoys hands on programs and plans to start a business. And absolutely, they lean conservative.

It’s not what OP wants since her son is looking at college programs but it’s true. My son has been very pleased after our tours.

Went to a top suburban high school, and the richest young alumni are plumbers.

^The Catholic vote went big for Trump. Towards end of campaign Harris’s was a no show at famous Al Smith dinner in NYC which raised millions for Catholic schools in NY. In prior 30 years only 1 other person skipped another Dem who lost. Catholic vote is key in a general election especially in swing states.

Assuming you don't mean the angry, ignorant Trumpy crap: Pretty much every Catholic college will have a good mix of pre-Trump-era political views, as Catholic voters are usually half and half, and even Catholic families tend to be half and half. Traditional R Catholics will be old school fiscally conservative-small government, but also personally pro-social justice and into service work. Traditional D Catholics will be pro union, and strongly social justice oriented with a "this is the support the less privileged need from government" bent. You will find people who are accustomed to political discussions of various points of view as they grew up having these debates around the dinner table and in school.
