I know someone just let go from Target because of the declining sales, but not the proper kind of lay off where they can claim unemployment. It's the ghosting kind where you don't get scheduled for 2 weeks and when you ask what's going on they say, "You're still employed but not needed." They've been working there for 4 years and have around 30 other coworkers who had the same thing happen. And this comes after weeks of declining shifts, ~11 hours one week, 14 hours another week, 17 hours another, etc.

The US was instrumental in causing the civil war in El Salvador that led millions to flee that led to the creation of MS-13 who were then deported and ravaged El Salvador causing it to become the murder capital of the world. It’s now the safest.
I mean, you can be appalled by all these things: Guatanamo, the deportation of people to CECOT, and the role the U.S. played in Central America in the '80s and how that ultimately led to the outbreak of gang violence there.
