One thing he has said is that it would be cheaper to house them there than in American jails. But there could be other reasons. Number one, he is a sadist and loves the notion of prisoners being abused and tortured in ways that are harder to get away with in an American jail. He's also always relished punishing criminals--remember how he viciously went after the Central Park Five, calling for their execution? And then there's the simplest explanation of all--he's just batshit crazy.

I think it is time for democrats and everyone they are targeting to start exercising our 2A rights. Honestly, this is exactly what it is meant for.

Considering that we lost access to China’s rare earth minerals, maybe punishment will be working in unregulated miles rather than being shipped to El Salvador?
