Also you don’t know what teams are going to be in the division. I would ask the coaches if you decide to tryout.
VA and NC together in a 12 team GA league has been confirmed by multiple Directors in both states. MD will then likely be with PA and Jersey.
For the Division I’m tracking 9 teams.
1. NVA
2. Loudoun
3. TSJ
4. VRSC
5. McLean
6. SYC
7. Alexandria
8. Skyline
9. CISC
Which 3 am I missing?

PPA is just a rec team that aspire to be a big team, unsuccessfully. BLUE teams are essentially subsidizing GREEN teams, quite unprofessionally. It has been an unfortunate experience for us.
The good ppa older teams don’t have blue teams. So I don’t know what you are talking about.
Yes they did, until they also felt apart! In general, BLUE teams have allocated worst fields and time schedules than GREENs

It’s possible all of this is related.
But it’s not. The MD Aspire teams can’t be in the same division as the VA teams, due to HS seasons. So Potomac and PPA will be playing in PA, NJ and DE in a second tier league. Should have just stayed in EDP 1 or 2 and enter showcases for the visibility.
GA is year round champ check the schedule MD and VA teams split their games over the fall and spring to account for HS schedules.
Anonymous wrote:Even with realignment GA will stick to being a year round league because its trying to model international calendars. ECNL is awesome but its just for college soccer for 90% of its customers

Probably a bit worse than ECRL
Arl, GFR, Stafford and Vienna RL will be strong. Gets interesting after that. Do you like these RL clubs (LMVSC, BRYC, PWSI, DCSC, Herndon, Villareal, VSA, Valor) more than these teams which will be Aspire next year (McLean White, Loudoun Red, SYC2, VRSC2)
VSA belongs with the first group, not the second. Their teams across RL are slightly stronger than McLean green, so I would expect them to be much stronger than McLean white.
This assumes these teams going to GA remain the same as the ecnl-rl teams. Which they won’t.
I know for at least one age group, only a couple of McLean RL players were invited to the new GA team- so the RL team becomes the new aspire team.
I have heard the same, and as a non-MYS parent I’m absolutely fascinated. On the one hand, many MYS teams were struggling in ECRL (7s, 10s, and 12s had losing records and were in the bottom half of the table). So it makes sense those same teams wouldn’t be competitive in GA, so need to play at the Aspire level.
But who are the players moving to MYS GA, and where are they coming from? Top players will continue to play for VDA, Union, and Arlington. After that, players will go to SYC and maybe NVA / Loudoun. So is this players who moved to Revolution or TSJ last year who live closer to the beltway?
I guess we’ll see next year.
Nope they are the bench ECNL players who didnt get 50% time so will move to be leaders in their new team. Great kids. Good luck and have fun!
This is totally wrong. I know who the players are and they are top notch. As good as the top ECNL in the area though not from ECNL. It will be a strong team.
I know the team (or may wind up being teams) you are referring too. Will be fun to see it unfold next year.
