OMG AI detectors are notoriously bad at actually detecting AI-written texts. Anyway, it sounds like you don't want to be friends with this person anymore so just let it go.

Her response was long (annoying- another lecture), was AI (what else is there to confirm- you know chat gpt when you see it used) and she isn't even trying. What more do you need?

If you spend any more time on her, it's your fault that you want to be abused. Do yourselves both a favour- ghost her; she's already emotionally ghosted you.

What's wrong with using AI?

Writing doesn't come easily to many people, especially when it's about a highly personal and emotional subject. I'm not excusing your friend, but AI is an attractive tool for someone who struggles with putting their thoughts and feelings into words. Yes, it's a cop-out . . . but it doesn't necessarily reflect a lack of sincerity or candor.

Grab a coffee with her. Don’t end a relationship because she used AI. It’s no different than sending a card - using someone else’s words to convey what you are trying to say. You’re overreacting here.

That could have been worded differently so it was more about how you felt and what you noticed and less an accusation.

That and they way you have conducted these posts suggests strongly you are a poor communicator and maybe have a personality disorder of some kind.

+1 If all you did to address this was send her that exact text out of the blue, you’re lucky all she did was send an AI apology. You sound absolutely exhausting. You don’t seem to understand how to effectively communicate.
