When the guy is no longer as interested in socializing, drinking, partying, etc. When he has shown he is mature. Age can vary.

I'm glad I had kids when I was older (40). Have to maintain an exercise/sleep/nutrition habits to keep my energy levels up and cut out alcohol.

Same as for women. You CAN have a baby afterwards but chances of autism and adhd go way up.

My husband was older. He had kids at 42, 44 and 47. He is in great shape and still very athletic. I have not seen a change yet (mid 50s). He takes after his mom who is still exercising and looking fabulous at 80. Fingers crossed he stays that way.

I was much younger, but I find myself more tired than he does.

Most parents and kids waste what time they have.

You can live a lifetime in a few years, or you can waste decades with "careers" and other nonsense.

Ideal age for men or women to have kids is 25-35 and ideal number of kids 0-3.

I had my kids at 29, 32 and 35.

It’s been great. I’m definitely having didn’t wait until I was older. If anything, slightly younger would be better but there is an advantage to being a little more mature and having more money in your pocket.

I say between 25-30 as long as you’ve put the pieces together (education + decent job + marriage). I wouldn’t wait to “be successful” in your career. Just earning income and past the hazing (e.g., analyst banker, etc.) phase.

My husband was 32,35,38 when our kids were born (I was 29, 32, 35). Kids age you fast, so we felt old by the time we had our third. I think the ideal window is 27-35 for both men and women, but I personally know a lot of people who waited longer and seem younger to me, probably because their kids didn’t age them so dramatically in their early thirties!

I think it’s a broader range for men since they don’t have as many biological limits as women and are often less mature generally speaking. So 25-38? My BIL was a father at 24 and should have waited because he didn’t really grow up until he was mid/late 30s while I know some younger dads who really stepped up. For women physically 20s is best but emotionally and mentally I feel like late 28-34 is ideal. I’m an “older” mom back home and gave birth age 36-39 due to infertility.
