nobody is stealing your laundry. They move it because you are not there when the load is done.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:DD at an Ivy and a girl got caught going down to the laundry room and rummaging through dryers for clothing. There was so much stolen clothing in her room, Lululemon, Alo, even a Canada Goose. There is a ton of wealth disparity and resentment at these colleges, you are living on top of people from very different backgrounds. It happens. FYI, the thief was an Asian girl who was forced to return all the clothing- I am not sure if she was punished for it though.
This! Alo and Lululemon is absolutely prime theft material. Wanted by many, yet common enough that no one could be sure it’s theirs if someone else steals and wears it. It’s unlikely roommates would steal it out of your drawers, but if you leave it in a dorm dryer all day- yeah, some things will go missing
"the theif was an Asian girl" Why did you feel the need to show us you are racist?
Theft has been a part of college forever this is nothing new.
Leaving your stuff in the dryer that is on you for being stupid. You bring your books and you study when your shit is in the laundry. Anyone with a brain knows this.

I'm concerned kids will steal her Alo and Lululemon gear. I was a sucker that I bought for her. When I went to school kids might steal my food in the fridge, none of us had fancy gear.
Anonymous wrote:Lol, everyone is bringing All and Lulu to school. That's ... not considered designer. The Row or a Berkin would be items to steal.

I guess the roommate could have taken the whole trunk and sawed it open but that didn't. There has to be some trust there. She didn't sleep with one eye open the entire school night. The roomie is a nice girl, and she stayed with our family over the holiday break. Nothing was taken from our house either. I guess I don't think the college experience is that different than your own house.
when I was in college, our dorms had individual closets with solid wood doors and deadbolts
My dorm had a wardrobe but the doors did not lock

We still have some Mabel's Labels left over from when the kids were little. My DH loved putting them on everything, which, of course, the kids hated. Now he does it sometimes just to troll them. And we still haven't run out!
