But don't worry about your pets that are left behind, because they're not Christians. We atheists will take care of them. For a small fee.
And please don't worry about planes going down in mid air because the pilots are Christian. As long as you're Christian too, you'll fly up to heaven from the plane, along with the pilot and all the other Christians aboard. Only the atheists crash!

Well it IS in the Bible lol. Some people choose which parts they want to believe in, and some believe every word. With 45,000 sects of christianity, it seems like no one can agree, though

Yes, I have heard about the anti-empathy arguments coming from the "Christian" right. They are no longer recognizable as Christians and need an new name for themselves. They don't actually follow the teachings of Jesus.
I will say it again...the New Testament, which is all about Jesus, no? has some horrific values in it, in addition to the selfless loving message that so many christians live by and believe. If all christians lived those tenets, we wouldn't have much of an issue, would we? However, if you need me to, I can point you to some verses that are anything BUT loving, selfless, etc.. There was an awful lot in there that is being used by people that also believe in the Bible. And the number of people that are taking the Bible literally is growing, as the more moderate or liberal christians numbers are shrinking.
None of this even takes into account the horrors of the old testament, which has to be included in the christian faith since there are many things cherry picked from there, too. Ten Commandments, etc. It's getting absurd at this point. It's as someone I once heard say: christianity is like a big book of multiple choice. Whatever is convenient for a certain goal is used, the other stuff is thrown out.
Honestly, I'm just so sick of the whole thing at this point. Very few people are being honest anyway about the truth of the matter.
