I'm doing the same thing right now after losing over 100 pounds. I don't want to undo any of the positive changes I've made, although I will consider going without the medication if my weight and new habits feel stable. One massive benefit of the medication is removing the need to obsess about diet and exercise, which is something I've never had at any time in my life. In the past, I lost weight by making diet and exercising pretty much the most critical priority in my life, at the expense of everything else. On the medication, I am eating well, exercising, and fully engaged in other areas of life (family, work, social, etc.).

Also, who knows the long term side effects of these drugs. Is it worth the risk for vanity pounds that could likely be lost through diet changes?
These drugs have been studied for decades but whatever
They have not been studied for weight loss for decades. There is not a lot of good data on the effects on weight of going off of them. I’m intrigued by them, but I want to see more evidence on their use specifically for weight loss.
Some of us don't have decades to wait for scientific testing on a healthy population.

I'm 12 weeks into tirzepatide and have been on 2.5 the whole time. 15.5 pounds down; maybe 3-5 more to go. About 20 BMI now. I absolutely love not being dominated by thoughts of food, feeling uncomfortable with hunger, wrestling with cravings. I would love to take this drug forever.
Girl it's time to slow your roll.
I wish those with eating disorders had their own subforum.

How are you going to go off if you never learned the life skills that keep you healthy?
