OP here - I wish. I am post-menopausal and on thyroid meds. I seem to be to lose about 10lbs with dieting but it’s a slog and it stops. I am okay losing 1-2lbs a week but between menopause, SSRI, and arthritis (which limits exercise) I am discouraged. I don’t want to do a weight loss drug - I don’t know what else to do. I lost a total of 3lbs after six weeks with a personal trainer. It’s been so tough for so long.

OP you don't have to justify this to anyone. The science is in and good on these drugs. The only side effect I have is fatigue on my shot day and maybe the day after. I haven't had contipation or neausea but I also have a very good diet even prior to taking them. If you don't have a good diet already you will feel terrible on the meds. I agree with the others that 70 lbs. overweight is dangerous. That should scare you more than vomiting.

Such a great idea. I wonder why people with obesity never think of it? /s

You don't understand it because you don't understand that obesity is a medical condition.

So are the weight loss drugs out for me?? Anyone else have this phobia/fear and been able to use this weight loss option?

So do it the old fashioned way and not use drugs

The "old fashioned way" is not in line with current science. Hence it being "old fashioned."

Take your out-of-date ignorant snark elsewhere.

I am a different poster, and have no issue with someone using loss drugs, but since when are healthy eating and portion control not in line with current science?

When you think that "healthy eating and portion control" will do it for everyone with the same amount of attention and effort and cut in calories. For many, the "portion control" you want to harp on here is not at all sustainable in the context of their body (with very slowed metabolism, malfunctioning hunger signaling from malfunctioning hormones, and a set point on weight that is very broken). In chronic obesity, much is malfunctioning in ways that are almost akin to autoimmune disorders; the body thinks it is protecting itself by holding onto fat and by cuing the person to eat as if they are starving when they are in fact overweight.
