Silver diner is fine. In fact, it’s more than fine for a diner.
+1. What's with shading Silver Diner? I've been to several locations and have never received cold food. Not only was the food the proper temperature, but it was quite tasty every time.

Do they just defrost frozen food and serve it?
Yes. The majority of chain and even local restaurants do this now, probably since the . Very rarely is the food actually prepared and plated under the same roof. This has been more common in chain kitchens pre-covid and then boomed during and post covid.

I don't know of any statistics on what % of DMV households have some income dependent on the federal government (fed, contractor, etc.) but it has got to be high. Four of the five houses on my cul de sac have at least one person whose job depends on the federal government (DOD, DOJ, NOAA), and mine has two. And everyone is terrified.
There are lots of people here that don’t have a fed dependent job.
