There is so much out there about Jessica and her family out there on the internet, including her own father.

So like, she doesn’t have to play the song for her kids. I don’t know about you, but I don’t show my kids my work. Really not that hard.

Is your work public, geared to the public? advertised as new release, and easily accessible on social media?
I'm guessing no and no. You're comparing apples to oranges.
The news story is just as easily accessible as the song. If the kids are hearing about the song, they’re also hearing the news stories about their dad. So it doesn’t really matter.
Kids know either way, so may as well make a million dollars.

Yuck.
I get it but it but she is a pop star. I’m sure she could say that she made up some of that for the song or wasn’t talking about their dad. Maybe she even said she was talking about her first husband or something. It doesn’t have to be that big of a deal. Not every song has to be taken literally.
We are so hard on women, especially moms. She is the breadwinner of the family and not the one who cheated and yet we question her parenting.
I wouldn’t want to poison my children against their father. That song is hurtful to the family, period.
People talk about men's parenting all the time and if they wrote a similar song about their wife they were divorcing and were crude about her like that no one would be thinking that was so sweet and great for her kids to hear about their mom.
