In my local HS, in NoVa, teachers did not tell parents when a child announced a new name in class. I think it was their policy (but I’m not sure). This is not appropriate. Keeping secrets with children is simply wrong. Teachers should email parents of significant changes and social issues at school . Teachers honestly messed up.It’s not all on them as the medical community and AAP also participated. We are all paying now.

It's not keeping secrets. God you all are so dim. I have right now a cis male whose name is, let's say James Smith, in one of my classes. He goes by Mac in school. At conferences, his parents called him James. No one's heads exploded.

Agree that there were some errors during the pandemic and post pandemic era. Washington is used to change after election years—sometimes dramatic changes. While you may be focused on missteps and teacher behavior. There are other things at stake. GW Bush improved test scores of American Children th right the department of education. For decades, the department gives a lot of federal money to public schools to keep them afloat and crime down, they also services college loans in the United Stated for low income citizens and middle class citizens. Citizens also receive support if they are disabled students. Trump could have redirected all of the money promote disabilities, early education for all of those pre-me ivf babie, women in sports, school prayer, prayer groups after school hours, better rural school facilities — whatever. That’s the other side to consider. It’s like sinking your own ships when you doing like how the battles are going. Sinking or mistreating the infrastructure is not helpful.
