Probably because you did not donated to the Admissions Fund…. Everyone who donated, got accepted.

GDS accepted
NCS accepted
Maret wait-listed
Sidwell rejected
I think GDS is a better fit for one and NCS is a better fit for the other, so we need to decide if we want to split them up
We also have kids applying to 4th/6th grades. They were waitlisted at the seven schools we applied to (applied broadly to try and avoid this).

Where else did you apply?
Now where. Just holton
These schools have voluminous quantities of highly qualified applicants (at all ages). Just like in the college process, your kid can be immensely talented with great grades and a big personality but that's really just table stakes. It's a bit of a crapshoot. I know this doesn't help now, but if you want your kid in private school, apply to 4-5, including some that are marginally less competitive. Putting your eggs in one basket is rarely a great strategy. Sorry to say that and I hope that the current school situation is at least tenable enough to get you to the next application cycle.

Sidwell - waitlisted
Maret - waitlisted
Potomac School - waitlisted
We did not get in anywhere. I am so incredibly disappointed. Do we have any hope to get off waitlists..
Reach out to Potomac and tell them they are your first choice and if extended an offer, you will accept. It’s highest probability of the 3 schools.
