My friend's daughter was more upset of 2 different girls who scored above a 97 on HSPT but asked for financial aid and didn’t get in. But a girl from her school that’s an average student that was full pay got in. Not a school my friends wants her daughter anyways.
Heard the same from DD's friends. One was waitlisted even though she took honors classes in 7th and 8th grade, was involved in varied extracurriculars -but requested FA. The one that got in is full pay, no honors classes and no outstanding extracurriculars.

I have no allegiance to Visi but this is true to some extent at every private high school and at college. Schools aren’t charities. This board is asked countless times “will applying for financial aid hurt my admissions chances” and the replies always indicate a clear yes.

DD’s friend received a notification yesterday letting us know that the waitlist is closed and that they will not accept waitlist students for the next academic year.
