What tours did you take and where did you eat in Boston?

I book last minute all the time - most trips planned 1-3 months in advance.

The problem I had this year planning Spring break (and I've been trying since Christmas) is that there are very few non stop flights and they are very expensive. I remember flying to cancun for $400 round trip non stop on Southwest years ago. Now it's $1,000, we have long layovers and we will have to pay for checked bags now too. For five people it adds up.

I figured I'd find one flight deal out there to PR or BVI or Cancun but even Florida flights are really expensive this year.

I'm wondering if a lot of these US options will be cheaper as the economy tanks and foreigners shun the US. I think Americans are going to plan fewer vacations this summer too.

I’d look at Costco travel packages and all the southwest travel packages.

We are considering going here. Are there any nice beaches? I've heard the beaches are rocky.

I’ve booked spring break on short notice before. Personally I’d check flights first (I’d want something direct and fairly convenient if only going for 4 days) and then see what you can find. These are all pretty easy, usually, even on short notice :

Florida (anywhere)
Cancun
New Orleans
LA
San Diego
Vegas
Phoenix

All are likely to have good weather, lots of places with nice pools, and a wide variety of things to do. Not a fan of colder weather places for spring break- can be very iffy at this time of year.
