3 feels right now. I'd be happy with 2 to really allow the cream to rise. 3 is far better than 5 which what we had lesss than 2 years ago and a middling GA prescence (FCV excluded). Now GA is in a stronger place to compete locally, however top players will still try to go to the 3 ECNL clubs first until further notice. So its 100% a numbers and perception game which stands to benefit ECNL HS aged teams significantly in the short term.
Don't care which direction this goes just reminding folks that theses changes aren't happening everywhere. So don't mistake this for anything thats happening on a national landscape at the moment.

Sounds like this was written by a parent who wants fewer talented kids at Arlington ID sessions
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:lol. And why would this happen? Of all the teams that have lost Ecnl, Arlington has none of the issues.
Decisions are not made that far in advance.
Idiot.
The application is already in for the following season......MLS/GA is coming your way!!

Do you honestly believe that NOVA is a trend-setter in girl's soccer?

It is expected that Bethesda will soon follow to MLSN and GA. Local top colleges will continue to recruit out of these clubs due to their stellar reputation for developing D1 athletes. Outer Clubs like VDA will soon follow back to GA if they are allowed.
They do a "fairly good job at developing players at the younger age groups." Really? Never said by an Arlington parent. They are playing there because it is close and ECNL. If a club is "developing" it is for their own marketing strategy. They are the first to blast all over social media, but the club doesn't really do anything other than sign up for college showcases.

Doesn't matter who you're playing if your speed of play is ECRL level so talent trumps everything. Better chance of having a talented roster right now with less ECNL teams for top players to have to figure out if they can make it there or not.
If you don't know when to use "less", as opposed to "fewer", I'm not likely to take your opinion seriously.

There is no such thing as an application for 26-27 for any league. So this is nonsense. Never mind it being in.
Applications don’t open until November. Arlington will be watching developments in the GA and evaluating if the ECNL with less local games is an option they want to continue with.
There are really not a lot of less local games. Arlington will be much stronger now with NVA gone. NVA took 3-4 top Arlington girls every year.
