Yes all the regional CESes have open houses usually within a week of decisions being posted. Idk about the local programs but I assume they would have something too.

These words are shown on website. So, notification has been postponed to early April?

How about getting into compacted math for next year 4th grade ? When will kids at 3rd grade find out for this one?

The website (https://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/curriculum/specialprograms/elementary/center-enriched-studies/) still says mid to late march for me.

Compact math is after the end of the school year.

Still no letter. How much do we want to bet MCPS missed the March deadline they set for themselves and sends them in April. Great for us working parents who would need to take time off to go to an open house if admitted

Gotta love the non-answer.

I mean at least it narrows it down to this week or next week I guess?

Which is not more info than what’s posted on the website… well now posted, since they originally said week of March 10…

They originally said week of March 10 in the FAQ and then quietly changed that. The open houses are the first week of April. It would be nice to know sooner rather than later so if we need to arrange our schedules we can… I have no doubt they’ve already run the model. It’s the same as last year — they just have to load the data and hit execute. Why they can’t tell us now, I have no idea.

There would be a thread with dozens of pages if people had heard.

I know, DCUM never fails. And I should never be surprised that MCPS can’t meet its own deadlines

This post is not germane to the CES lottery. Unless they've changed, anything 231 and up for 3rd grade winter MAP-R would be 99th percentile by the MCPS local norming rubric, which kept anyone at 99th percentile nationally at the 99th percentile local norm.

Even in 5th, 246 on MAP-R would be 99th (243 if reporting for the fall instead of the winter). I'm guessing the poster was reporting a 5th-grade Winter MAP-M score, where 250 would be 98th nationally (99th for that begins at 252). The MAP component of CES lottery qualification is based on 3rd-grade winter MAP-R.
