Please know that many of us are heartsick that Canada is getting dragged into this demented man’s plans. As an individual whose candidate of choice lost, I’m not sure what I can do that would help this horrible situation. I am buying Canadian products as much as I can, and I’m boycotting companies that are clearly supporting Trump and this madness — also as much as I can.

I’m glad that you’re taking this seriously. Too many Americans didn’t take it seriously, and too many more were actually attracted to what Trump was feeding them.

As a country, the US is now not to be trusted.

Tariffs are another deal - I’m sure he’s serious about those. A Canadian boycott makes sense to wield economic pressure, but honestly it has to be pretty targeted to have an impact on the massive US economy.

If there’s someone like the AMA person who can give reasons why we shouldn’t take Trump seriously about this, I welcome reasons not to be so scared.

But, maybe to his credit, in a unpleasant way, Trump usually seems to try to act on his proposals. He may have terrible proposals, but he’s pretty open about what he’s doing. I think it’s a mistake to assume that he won’t try to move ahead with this.

Thanks. I feel like it's affecting most of the world, in one way or another. I just wish there was some way to stop this. It's been only a month and it feels like the world is going down the drain, fast.
