We weren’t even a sporty family when our DC started at VT, but after one night game there, we are now football fans! Such an amazing experience.

Yes - football. Parked under an overpass in an abandoned lot and the stadium was less than half full for a top 20 opponent. Pittsburgh is a pro town.

VT has one of the consistently ranked best college football experiences. Basketball not do great but VT football games are legendary.

My kid is either going to Pitt next year or taking a gap year. My friend's son goes to VT. He really likes it. Rural v urban. Let you kid decide unless the difference in cost makes a difference to you.

In the last month they’ve put a bunch of construction rubble on all of the former homeless camps to deter homeless from putting up tents. The city is really coming along!

I know you are a troll, but PIT is barely an international airport. It has 1 a day to Toronto and 3 midweek flights a week to LHR on British Airways.

PIT was doing 20m passengers a year when it was a USAir hub and is now less than half of that, even though air travel nationally has doubled.

LOL! i travel for work every week Tuesday-Thursday and have never once flown in or out of PIT. It never even occurred to me that they would even have an international airport. It’s shocking to me they even fly to Canada. But i guess travel Hockey kids?

my kid is at VT and is a complete city kid. He loves VT. He is a member of the “Snow Club” and does go snowboarding every weekend at Snowshoe. He’s also a freshman and has a great internship lined up this summer which is unusual for freshmen. however the alumni network is strong and randomly met a older guy over christmas who was asking about his major and asked him to send over his resume. Did a free rounds of interviews and has a great job this summer. This was all based on the strong alumni network.

He really loves VT and is never bored that’s for sure.
