Subject: Best Private Social Clubs for tweens
I’ve been a guest at a few of the clubs here, and I would say that I have actually found my alumni clubs to be more of my lane (and the activities are exclusive to alumni mainly).
Both my undergrad and grad school are top schools. There is plenty of elbows to run if you are involved. I think having your kid at one of the top privates here and being involved with a good alumni club (if you are part of one), can fill the void.
My family has ins to at least 6 top alumni groups. That’s exclusive enough for me.

The Georgetown Club is full of people just like you - but you need the right address and schools to make it work the way you want, and even then its sort of beat. Chevy Chase would be more fun for sure.

Clubs are dead. The only social climbing club is the Chevy Chase Club, but you mentioned Jack and Jill. And Chevy Chase and some of the other clubs you mentioned have a long history of exclusion. Why don't you do Jack and Jill since you mentioned it?
There's also the Georgetown Club. Also not terribly diverse.

In case you’re sincere, OP, a lot of social clubs are sort of empty of tweens and teens because by then the kids have their own activities and want to be at their soccer tournament, not the annual club children’s magic show and Halloween party.
I think that Jack and Jill would actually give you some of what you’re looking for, paired with a private school. The only hard part is that some schools do revolve around country clubs so for that you would have to be outside of DC. But that’s where tweens and teens will still be showing up.

I’ve been a member at Sam’s Club for years. Never tried fencing or tennis, but my kids like to play on the shopping carts in the aisles. Sometimes I meet friends for lunch — we enjoy the samples and then have a hot dog in the snack bar if we’re still hungry.
