We are having a date lunch tomorrow and that is all. No cards or flowers (so overpriced.) I got the teenagers each a bag of their favorite candy.

Happily married 20 years.

We’re cooking dinner together.

So technically not receiving anything, but who cares? We’re spending time together making our favorite meal.

I took advantage of a "Valentine's Day offer" and bought myself stuff from Dior, then announced to my husband this afternoon that his gift was being delivered today. I will order sushi for tomorrow and we'll have a nice family dinner at home. He's relieved with this arrangement. It's been going on for years.

Life can be very simple if you make it so.

Me. Not upset about it at all. I don’t want to buy him anything either.

My husband already bought cards for me, the kids and the grandparents. He is great about handling this stuff. I will run out and grab a card for him tonight. We agreed to go
Out for sushi and I made the reservation.

I hope my husband gets me nothing. I got him nothing. I mean, he will be having a good time at night. That’s all he wants anyways. I hate crap so I hope he gets me nothing.

I think Valentine's day is a dumb made up holiday. At most I will get my husband a card. I hope all he does is a card, but often he will get me flowers too. I don't really care about flowers and they are so expensive this time of year so I wish he would just skip it.

We aren’t in the same place this year. I gave him a small thing before he left town. We might have a make up valentines day next week. Sometimes he sends flowers or I sneak something into his suitcase. Every few years we spend it together. His schedule gets wacky this time of year.

I'm giving him the beat sex of his life.

I think dh and I went out on our first valentines in the same city. We were so poor I doubt we even ordered wine. We’ve been eating old El Paso veggie tacos every year since. We usually exchange a card. I think he forgot last year and no hard feelings. Going on 25 years strong. We are very doting on each other through the year - not materially though. Just with kindness.
