New here? Majority here don't care about global soccer. Collegiate? Their ears perk. Global? Could care less.

Again, the question was how many MLS next teams played in Jeff Cup. SYC MLS Next did not play, only the younger teams. Who are these other no name teams.

We just got back from Jefferson Cup and Bethesda’s MLS Next 2011 and 2012 each lost two of their three group matches to ECNL teams and each failed to qualify for knockout games. 2012s weren’t even in the top bracket. Most top ECNL teams are very competitive with, if not better than, the non-pro affiliated MLS Next teams.

Bethesda is a club not so far gone as McLean, or slowly but surely tanking like Arlington. But Bethesda is a club whose golden age has come and gone. The U littles still play on dog tracks throughout the county and the older kids are holding on to the last bit of glory days.
ECNL RL won the 2nd division for U14.

VDA practices 4 times a week. Arlington has 4 sessions--3 practice and 1 strength. FVU has 2 - 3 a week on average.
It is 4 at fvu as well
Uhm no it is not. For boys. This thread is about MLS Next vs. ECNL. FVU does not practice 4x a week for boys.

Those 2 brackets were only ECNL clubs, they cant do that if they had MLS NEXT clubs playing in those age groups.
