No one has a right to the public space outside their home.
There is basic consideration that the spot in front of your house is yours.
Have you never lived in a busy neighborhood? No there isn’t. The street is the street and parking is public. What on earth do you do if you visit another city? Just forgo street parking lest you happen to path in front of someone’s house? Don’t be ridiculous.

How do you know it’s neighbors and how do you know all the cars are legally parked?
Do you think it’s ok to smear dog shit on a car if it’s not legally parked?
Or to walk out of your house and yell at a teen and threaten them?
Reports are that all cars were parked legally at all times. I know nothing more than what is reported but it certainly sounds like neighbors and even if there was a parking irregularity it’s not ok to smear shit on someone’s car, is it?
No it’s not ok.
But just because someone said it doesn’t make it true.
I have a hard time believing a person smeared dog shit on a car in broad daylight that was legally parked. No it’s not ok if it’s illegally parked but I don’t live near a HS where entitled kids park however they like day after day instead of getting a school parking pass
It happens around neighborhoods by other HS too.

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I wouldn’t want to live next to that zoo, you think the kids aren’t a nuisance. If the is was typical teenager defiant I think the dog poop is the perfect response.
What if it wasn’t? What if it was your quiet, polite law- abiding kid who is careful to always park legally?
Because it certainly sounds like that’s the case. And it’s not just one kid/car that’s been targeted but multiple.
Not my kid as mine isn’t old enough to drive, but I still think it’s completely inexcusable.

Sadly it’s definitely true, and has happened to several students.
Since you don't live near a high school, you don't have a sense of the behavior that takes place - littering, drinking, smoking pot. They are teenagers and they aren't always the best at regulating their behaviors. If you lived near a high school, like Woodmoor neighbors do, you would have a better sense of the problems.
Not defending the vandalism, but the Woodmoor neighborhood has put up with poor behavior by Blair students for years. Maybe the neighborhood needs to get residential parking for their streets, which they can easily do through MoCo. And maybe the principal should go over to talk with the neighborhood assn. to help cool the temperature.
Renay Johnson previously spent a lot of time trying to molify the neighbors because of student behavior.
Hm. I’m not sure what behavior you are referring to but parking a car legally on a public street isn’t legitimately a nuisance to anyone. If availability of parking is an issue for residents there are processes they can go through without harassment.
Do you live in Woodmoor? Would be interested to hear what exactly they are upset about.

Lots of very specific posts about speeding, running stop signs, and dumping bottles/leaving trash—many aimed at “young people”—but nothing about parking. Some stuff about vandalism of things like holiday decorations, too.
Plenty of people with fist-shaking “kids today!” sorts of posts, but I can’t find anything relating specifically to parking.
I wonder if it’s possible the legally-parked kids were speeding, or rolled through a stop sign or two, on the way to their legal parking spot?
Before you start shouting—of course that doesn’t excuse the behavior of the adults! But it might explain the overreaction to a seemingly-innocuous parking job?
On multiple occasions?
