For the record: it's iron ore. But it's easy to make the case that Australia's leading export is… acting talent. How has an island of only 27 million people minted Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman, Cate Blanchett, Mel Gibson, Margot Robbie, Chris Hemsworth… we can keep going here… Sarah Snook, Russell Crowe, Heath Ledger, Naomi Watts… to say nothing of so many Oscar-winning directors, designers and crew?

I’m not following your logic - a bunch of big Aussie names are listed above - like most of the well known celebrities from down under cited above, Kylie has not lived on Oz for years - she left soon after she made it big on Neighbors (left for London in 1990 but returned in 2022). Maybe you mean something else though?

To me, the proportion of Australian celebrities who have succeeded in US and UK is similar to Olympic medals - much more than you would expect for the size of the population. Not sure why but many of them appear to have graduated from Australia’s National Institute of Dramatic Art.

Her mom went along with it and for a while it did seem to work. The tumors in her arm subsided and for years she did not seem to have any symptoms. She was diagnosed at 22 and she died at 29. It seemed like the symptoms came back at 27. So it seemed like she had a five years of health.

It is pretty terrible that she was still doing speaking engagements when she had symptoms coming back 5 years in and of course, very terrible that she let her mom go to the holistic center. But the first few years at least she seemed to be coming from a place where she really thought a holistic lifestyle would work.

The tumors on her arm went away because she had an experimental treatment where they did high doses of localized chemo in her arm. When her symptoms came back some years later she got into the holistic lifestyle, and she spent the rest of the series hiding it with long sleeves. It was unclear to me how much time had passed from her getting into juicing to dying.

It was 2 years or so. The timeline jumped back and forth a bit but that’s what I gathered.
