"Grounds" because it sounds grammatically incorrect. "Frosh" because it sounds stupid.

First years live on grounds, not campus.

No, just when people abuse the English language by using words and terms excessively and incorrectly.

Yes, the word bloodbath has been around for centuries, but the people using it these days are giving real "Look at me! I've read The Hunger Games" vibes.

Bloodbath….yes!

I started paying attention to college type posts on UrbanBaby about 10 years ago, every single year was “bloodbath!“ And SO much worse than any other year!

It's a "bloodbath" when it's your kid's turn and the parents jumped into the obsessive madness by applying to 20 schools including every Ivy.

I love this and embrace it and will use it tirelessly going forward.

I can't stand the US obsession with sports and how intertwined sports are with our education system.

If my normcore posterior can annoy or deflate a single sporto by coopting "commit," then that's a day well lived.

Omg yes. I hate these assumptions that a particular college cohort is a monolith with a “level” of students. I would be willing to bet this poster bases their first impression of people on where they graduated. Gross.
