Pushing certain art is part of pushing an agenda. Trump has a very conservative, traditional vision, so that will be what he pushes. A lot of people think the recent country music push kind of went with the Trump win.

The statute doesn't say. It just says six year terms. The president has pretty broad authority to fire within the executive branch, but is the Kennedy Center within the executive branch? The fact that members of Congress sit on the board by law would seem to indicate that it isn't.

He knows this will put it out of business because the DC area will be boycotting it now. Musical and theater acts will also likely boycott bringing anything there.
