I only would have an issue w/the fact that your dog escaped from your yard and the only reason you found out about is because your neighbor informed you!!?
Your Nanny should have been the one to tell you this!
If you trust your Nanny đź’Ż% w/your children then that should mean that you trust her judgement as well.
So I wouldn’t have an issue w/her taking your kids to her parent’s house at all.
The fact that she wants to spend extra time w/your kids may originate w/her genuine love for them however it is unprofessional for her to do so.
And if your preteen does not want her to come around and implicitly tells you so then you need to let her go.
It would be unconscionable to leave your child in the care of someone they do not like being around.

I'm sorry, but if you are the type of person who goes out all the time with your friends, and you don't want to pay for high-quality childcare, this is kind of what you get.

OP here, yes we need a driver and this is the biggest reason why we have kept this sitter. We have plans most nights between my kids and myself. We have plans with friends 2-3 nights a week plus at least one night on the weekends depending on the week & my husband travels a lot for work.
