I buy the Trader Joe’s natural peanut butter and almond butter (just nuts and salt). I eat it daily and I would be so so sad if I accidentally picked up the gross palm oil nonstir kind. I get the disappointment OP! I’ve occasionally picked up smooth instead of chunky, but that’s a forgivable mistake

Thank you for not doing unnecessary returns.

Whole Foods and Trader Joes both make naturalstore brand peanut butter that is just peanuts and salt, and a "no stir" version that has added oil and maybe sugar.

I always check to make sure I grabbed the right one. I wouldn't feel personally attacked if I bought the wrong one by mistake. I would just have a jar of peanut butter that is not the type I prefer. I doubt I will drop dead if I have 2 grams of added sugar or a little palm oil.

Again, many thanks to all of you who provided helpful suggestions. For anyone who’s interested, I did get a refund, along with a discussion of the “Reformulated peanut butter product line.” “365 Unsweetened Crunchy Peanut Butter” contains just peanuts and salt — like the old version. Unfortunately it will probably not be available in the larger jars, so that increases the cost per ounce. The jars look similar— both to each other and to the old jars, so the key is to look for: Unsweetened. I will also try the Trader Joe’s version, and will enjoy the opportunity for a taste test. OP

Good to know! Also a nice reminder that I should check to see if they still grind fresh peanut butter in the WF store. I’m guessing that the Trader Joe’s peanut butter will be an excellent replacement, but it’s always nice to have alternatives. OP

OP, your politeness on this thread is noteworthy. I hope others, in this time which is difficult for many of us, can follow suit.

Thank you! I am seriously smiling right now — thanks to your comment. OP

I'm sorry. Sometimes it's the little things that really get at you.

I'd probably take it in and be very nice at the desk and just say that you must have mistakely grabbed it thinking it was your usual because it looks very similar, and upon opening realized it was different and that you are sensitive to the ingredients. Also can they kindly point you to what you're looking for or has it changed? There is no way they won't take it back, given how easy it is to do WF/Amazon returns. If you don't have a receipt they probably have it if you scanned your phone at the register.

Just stop returning stuff. You're the reason everything is so expensive. Seriously. OP can make cookies or pancakes. She already warmed up to that idea is not a grub like you. Please use what was opened. The store will dump it.

Thanks for your suggestion! It does not change my mind at all!

Why are you bringing your skin color and age and job hunting status into a discussion about peanut butter? Seriously?!

NP here. You really need this explained to you? In this current political climate? In this area (DMV)?
