I think that ship is way out to sea with all the privacy breaches at OPM. Who knows who combing through everything. Hope someone brings a privacy act suit soon.

You download it to your federal government laptop. You need to use your PIV card to access eOPF.

Then use outlook tied to your .gov email and send it to your personal email. Your agency may require you to use their encryption email service. You may get warning popups stating that you’re sending PII or asking you to provide justification. Do all that….but still send it to your personal email.

I have a TS security clearance and none of my documents had classification markings. It’s completely legal and legit to email yourself a copy of your personnel file. It’s your file; you need to have access to it outside of .gov resources.

I just downloaded mine today. The union recommended that everyone do so. I downloaded the file and emailed it to myself. 17 years’ worth of information. No need to print out over 100 pages - I have the file saved to my personal computer. It didn’t take long to do and I had no issues with the EOPF site.

Any special guidance for SES?
