This. I worry about leaving too soon and then realizing that a) this all ends and I am out of a stable job or b) I could've bargained for more to force me out. It's too soon to jump ship. I have too much time and income to lose, and based on the jobs I see, none come close to what I am currently making/benefits package.

Federal retirement benefits are not something to throw away. But he's been miserable for a while and all of this junk since Trump took office is just reinforcing his misery.

As long as it doesn’t depend on a government contract either. I feel like anything completely outside of government money is a safe bet and worth leaving for. Anything that is dependent on any realm of the government or government contracts is not safe.
