Who in the world would bother spending $250 on a pair of pants to wear on a PLANE while SLEEPING? That's ridiculous.
Good grief -- did she say she bought them exclusively for this purpose? No, she did not. She has the pants, and she wore them on a few flights. It's not like the airplane lands and the pants self-destruct. Calm down.

Anonymous wrote:I am a mean grinch but I hate all of these outfit suggestions. Nope. I just wear comfy jeans and a sweater and pack a change outfit. At this time of year I would pack a cashmere sweater, black, dark stretch jeans with a flare, I like the mother ones, and I’d wear my slip on low lug sole boots on the plane.
if you want to be warm on the plane, what's the point of the cardigan that doesn't close?Anonymous wrote:I wear a long charcoal gray Vince cardigan (no buttons, hits just above the knees, 3/4 puffy sleeves, with a shawl collar--could act as a hoodie) with a black 3/4 sleeve t-shirt dress the same length as the sweater (not 100% cotton, so it doesn't wrinkle), black ankle tights and black flats. To sleep I pull on the socks with the rubberized bottoms (cheap ones to throw away when we land.)
I'm ready to go as soon as we arrive in Paris.

This.
Anonymous wrote:Hear me out. I started wearing a midi length sleeveless dress (Arcteryx Veilance Pallister Dress) on flights. If it's cold I'll wear merino wool leggings and merino wool short or long sleeve T shirt underneath. It's nice not to have a waistband to deal with. The skirt part is wide enough to tuck my legs into when sleeping, so it's another way to stay warm.
If it's warm on disembarking then I'll remove the merino wool and just wear the dress. It works for me.

I agree this outfit is comfy (I have pretty much the exact same one and have worn it many times) but it’s quite dated/mid-2000s, which is why I’ve stopped wearing it. I know it’s just the airplane, but OP seems to be looking for something somewhat fashionable and this is not fashionable.
OP, if you want to essentially wear pajamas on the plane (as opposed to a real outfit), I’d go with a matching set over this.
